Acceptance of Terms
By using Repair Mate, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
These terms form an agreement between you and the operator of Repair Mate. They are the entire agreement between us regarding the app and supersede any prior understandings.
What Repair Mate Is
Repair Mate is an iOS app that uses an AI model to suggest fixes for everyday home and appliance problems. You describe a problem with a photo, a voice note, or text; the app sends your description to our AI provider and returns a probable cause, a step-by-step fix, and a follow-up chat where you can ask questions about your specific situation.
Repair Mate is informational, not professional advice. The fix steps are generated by an AI model and may be wrong, incomplete, or unsafe for your specific situation. You are responsible for deciding whether to act on them.
Subscriptions and Payments
Repair Mate is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. After a preview of the AI verdict, the unlocked fix steps and the follow-up coach require an active subscription:
- Yearly — $39.99 per year, with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers
- Weekly — $4.99 per week, no free trial
If you start the Yearly plan, you will not be charged during the 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and your Apple ID is charged $39.99 for the year.
If you start the Weekly plan, your Apple ID is charged $4.99 immediately and the subscription renews each week until cancelled.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at the end of the free trial (Yearly) or at confirmation of purchase (Weekly, or Yearly if you are not eligible for a trial — for example, if you have previously trialed Repair Mate). Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. The renewal charge is the same as the current period unless we notify you otherwise.
Prices may vary by country and may be adjusted by Apple to match local currency.
Cancellation and Refunds
To cancel, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. Find Repair Mate and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
All payments are processed by Apple. We cannot issue refunds directly. For refund requests, visit Apple Support.
Restore Purchases
If you re-install Repair Mate or move to a new device using the same Apple ID, tap Restore Purchases in the paywall or on the You tab to re-enable your subscription. Repair Mate uses RevenueCat to manage subscription state.
Your Content
You keep all rights to the photos, voice notes, and text descriptions you submit to Repair Mate. You grant us a limited licence to transmit that content to our AI provider for the sole purpose of generating a fix and to display the resulting verdict and fix steps back to you.
You are responsible for the content you submit. Do not submit content that:
- Belongs to someone else without permission;
- Is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes another person's rights;
- Is intended to extract responses about topics outside home and appliance repair (the app declines those requests by design and they may be blocked).
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the AI prompt or model;
- Probe or attempt to bypass the rate limits we apply to each device;
- Use Repair Mate to make decisions involving gas, electrical panels, structural integrity, roofing, or any other situation that requires a licensed professional, except as a starting point for talking to that professional.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Repair Mate is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
The fix steps Repair Mate generates are AI output, not professional advice. Repair Mate is not a licensed contractor, electrician, plumber, gas-fitter, or any other tradesperson. Before acting on any fix, verify it against the manufacturer's documentation for your specific appliance or fixture, and confirm that the work is safe for you to perform. Do not act on Repair Mate's output for work involving gas lines, the electrical panel, structural elements, the roof, or anything else where a mistake could cause injury, fire, flood, electrocution, or property damage. When in doubt, hire a licensed professional.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Repair Mate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or property, arising out of or related to your use of the app — including damages caused by following or failing to follow the app's output. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so the above limits apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Repair Mate at any time if you violate these terms or use the app in a way that risks harm to other users or to our infrastructure.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms will be brought before the competent courts of Lithuania, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of habitual residence requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms reduces the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the app and update the Last updated date above. Continued use of Repair Mate after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
